The 22nd edition of the 4 Hours Honda will take place on a new circuit in Ambohidratrimo. This 2024 edition will see the introduction of the province category.

The organizers will bring innovations to the 4 Hours Honda 2024, which is in its 22nd edition. This prestigious race is organized by Iarivo Moto Club with the Malagasy Motorcycle Federation (Fmam). It will take place on Sunday, March 10, on a new circuit at the Clastimi space in Ambohidratrimo. The kick-off is scheduled for 10 a.m. The prologue will take place on Saturday, March 9.

The official drivers of Madauto this time will be Mathias Plantive, the national champion in Enduro and motocross, and Lucas Robert, ranked third in the La Réunion championship. The latter has just won the victory at the Grand Prix 100% MX this weekend, counting for the third round of the Madagascar championship. They will be at the controls of a KTM 450 MX bike. Mathias Plantive was crowned champion in solo and 3rd overall in Enduro last year.

Another big name, Pascal Dorseuil, the winner in 2018, will also be part of the event. The race is open to beginners and elites with a license. “It’s a circuit on a 6 to 8 km loop, suitable for all levels, crossing sloping meadows and rice fields,” describes the course designer, Pascal Techer.

Father and son

The organization estimates that more than ninety teams totaling one hundred and seventy local and international pilots will participate. As an innovation, the organization will introduce a category reserved for province pilots, in addition to the usual twelve others.

In addition to the races, various animations, games, and contests are planned during the two days. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover a sales exhibition of the latest models, equipment, and quality accessories offered by motorcycle and scooter dealerships in Madagascar.

A 2 million ariary voucher offered by Moto Shop will be given to the lucky winner. Registration will continue until Friday at 6 p.m., just before the information meeting and the distribution of bibs at Madauto in Andraharo. The first three in each category will receive a trophy as well as the top ten in the scratch category. The most decorated Tsirava Razafimahefa who has recorded seven titles and has been competing in the veterans 2 category in recent years, will ride this time with his son Miaro Razafimahefa.
