The Economic Fair of Madagascar was presented yesterday. Toamasina will host the first edition of the Economic Fair of Madagascar in May. Organized by the event company Trait d’union, this initiative will bring together about a hundred participants. Toamasina, with its refineries, diverse industrial infrastructure such as oil mills, soap factories, and its major port, presents itself as a strategic economic hub, conducive to such events”, explained the general coordinator of the project, Stella Andriamamonjy, during the announcement of the fair in Ambodivona yesterday. Home to the largest port in Madagascar, this city is the home of Malagasy businesses, demonstrating the entrepreneurial vitality that has been developing there in recent years. The fair will be a new opportunity for these economic operators to come together, share ideas, forge partnerships, and engage with the general public. Participants will also have the opportunity to showcase their products and services, enhancing their visibility among investors and the local market. “In addition to the exhibition of products and services, the fair will offer a dedicated space for emerging sectors such as health and wellness, renewable energies, telecommunications, automobiles, as well as a showcase for products “made in Madagascar” and startups,” explained Caroline Rahajamalalanirina, general manager of Trait d’union Madagascar, in charge of the organization. The organizers plan a series of conferences focused on entrepreneurship, providing a platform to share innovative ideas and practical solutions. These discussions will explore new challenges and opportunities in the Malagasy market. Beyond this inaugural edition, the organizers aim to expand the reach of the event to other cities, with the aim of showcasing the regional economic strengths of other major cities in the country and facilitating exchanges between local operators and those from other regions, thus contributing to strengthening national economic integration.
