Dina Rabearivelo returned from RIPO with enriching experiences. Mission accomplished.

On February 20, the talented Malagasy painter, Dina Rabearivelo, returned enriched from his experience at the Rencontres Internationales de Peinture de Ouagadougou (RIPO), which took place from February 13 to 18 in Burkina Faso. This significant event was marked by cultural exchanges, exciting workshops, as well as conferences led by renowned experts such as Samuel Sangwa and Alif Naaba, focusing on crucial themes such as copyright, the right to exhibit, the right to produce, and the right of succession.

Dina Rabearivelo seized this opportunity to explore the cultural riches and iconic sites of Burkina Faso, including visiting the palace of Mogho Naaba, a revered Mossi king. He also paid homage at the Thomas Sankara memorial, delving into the fascinating history of this charismatic leader. Throughout his stay, he had the privilege of attending a multitude of cultural and artistic events.

“I had the opportunity to exhibit two of my works at RIPO. These exchanges between the twenty-one participating countries allowed me to deepen my networks and contacts. This experience also enabled me to exchange knowledge and skills with sculptors, photographers, artisans, and many other artists,” testifies Dina Rabearivelo.
