The Mada VTT club, consisting of around fifty mountain bikers, lent a hand to nature on Saturday during a reforestation day, which has become a tradition. Last Sunday’s ride was very special. Members gathered to plant 500 young acacia and eucalyptus trees in Ambatoroa Ambohimiadana Carion.
The “Olomanga” association in Angavokely provided the trees for planting. The day ended with the installation of a statue to mark the collaboration between the two parties. The association will oversee the trees that have been planted. Once again, cycling enthusiasts have demonstrated their commitment to the environment.
The “Olomanga” association, led by President Tolotriniaina Randriambololona, was established in December 2022. It aims to promote rural communities and humanity by emphasizing the importance of environmental preservation and protection.
It celebrated its first anniversary with this reforestation project with Mada VTT. Its objective is to raise awareness among households about new techniques to reduce firewood consumption, and to provide training with partners in agriculture.
