The Spanish Embassy in Tripoli has confirmed that a team of five Spanish doctors performed a series of successful operations in several medical fields from 11 to 18 February this year, marking the 10th medical campaign in Libya.

The team, consisting of four specialists in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology and a specialist in plastic surgery and reconstruction, along with a Libyan doctor residing in Spain, conducted a total of 70 major surgeries in just one week. This remarkable achievement demonstrates the dedication and expertise of the medical professionals involved.

In addition to the recent campaign, it has been reported that more than 25 Spanish specialists have visited Libya since October 2022, collaborating with the Libyan Medical Emergency and Support Centre (EMSC) in its efforts to localize treatment within the country.
