Libya: Misrata Criminal Court sentences to death the perpetrator of a premeditated murder incident in 2020

Misrata – The Misrata Criminal Court has sentenced a defendant to death for a premeditated murder committed in 2020. The Attorney General’s Office stated that the Public Prosecution filed a criminal case against the individual identified as (T. M. A. T.).

The defendant was accused of killing victims Ibrahim Misbah Ali Zmita and Ali Ahmed M’hammed Bazina. In its final session, the court convicted the defendant. It issued the death penalty as a retribution (Qisas) punishment.
