CONGO TOWN, Liberia, September 10, 2026 — The National Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended three senior partisans for allegedly using the party’s official letterhead to endorse an opposition unity initiative led by former President George Manneh Weah, exposing internal disagreement over the party’s involvement in efforts to forge broader opposition cooperation ahead of the 2029 elections.
