The NPA Board has argued that decentralization does not mean autonomy, urging the Liberian Senate to rescind its proposal to grant outstation ports autonomy.

Monrovia, August 5, 2024: The Board of Directors of the National Port Authority (NPA) has condemned the Liberian Senate’s proposal to grant outstation ports autonomy.

Over the weekend, the NPA Board issued a press release saying the Senate’s move has the propensity to undermine the Act creating the NPA.
