Bobby Livingstone, Deputy Minister-designate for Public Affairs at the Ministry of Information, Mr. Joseph Cooper, Executive Director-designate of LRRRC, and Adana S. Paye, Assistant Minister for Corrections & Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Justice. The Senate received and noted the President’s request, citing the constitutional responsibility of the President to nominate and withdraw officials within the Executive branch.
Despite the nominees having already participated in their confirmation hearings organized by relevant Senate committees, President Boakai’s sudden decision to withdraw them has raised further questions about the transparency and stability of his government.
