The citizens of Grand Cape Mount County have been urged to take ownership of the projects that Bea Mountain Mining Corporation is providing as part of their corporate development benefits. This advice comes in light of the company’s recent contracting of a water dredging company to supply safe drinking water to the affected communities near BMMC mines.

In a recent interview, Mr. Lassanna K. Sanbullah, Chairperson for the resettles from Larjor-Kinjor, emphasized the importance of maintaining and preserving the resources provided by the company. He highlighted the fact that the area where Kinjor is currently located used to be a forest, and the company resettled them there, making it their own. He encouraged his fellow citizens to cherish and protect the resources given to them by the company, emphasizing that it belongs to them and not to the corporation. He stressed the importance of not causing any harm to these resources, saying, “No need to spoil it.”

Mr. Sanbulleh also spoke about the recent development of dredging the pumps and how it will benefit the community. He reassured the residents that even if there were chemical spills in the rivers, they would not be affected because they would have access to safe drinking water provided by the pumps. He expressed his happiness and gratitude towards the company for initiating the construction of pumps that will help improve access to safe drinking water in their communities. He emphasized the positive partnership between the community and the company, stating, “We are very happy about it. These are things that we want to see the company doing because we are friends and partners. That is why we do not want anything to hamper them.”

Overall, the message to the citizens of Grand Cape Mount County is clear – take ownership of the resources and projects provided by Bea Mountain Mining Corporation. By cherishing and preserving these benefits, the community can ensure sustainable development and a positive partnership with the company. The efforts towards providing safe drinking water are just one example of how collaboration and cooperation can lead to positive outcomes for all involved. It is a reminder that when communities and corporations work together, they can create a brighter future for everyone.
