In a meeting with over thirty accredited reporters at the Capitol Building on February 23, 2024, Cllr. Koffa addressed concerns that he might block the passage of the US $41.3 million budget requested by the Executive, which some believed would have been a show of opposition as the Speaker of the House.
Contrary to these expectations, Speaker Koffa emphasized his commitment to collaborating with all branches of government to ensure a harmonious balance in the interest of the country and its people. He highlighted that under his leadership, the House of Representatives is dedicated to promoting transparency, accountability, and openness.
