Global Village Connections (GVC) is an international multipurpose organization that was officially launched in Margibi County, Liberia on February 28, 2024. The organization was founded in 2019 by Mr. Jackson Dukpa from Buthan with the mission to unite the world through various initiatives such as farming, education, health, entrepreneurship, arts, and culture.

The launch of GVC in Liberia took place in Konola, District# 5, with over 500 people in attendance from different counties across the country. The event featured indoor activities followed by a parade of women and men representing various professions, including farmers, entrepreneurs, and other professionals, as they made their way from Kissi Camp Community to Mars Yard in Kolona along the Weala highway.

Sylvester Lepolu, the president of GVC, provided an overview of the organization during the launch, emphasizing its vision and mission of serving humanity unconditionally and working towards global transformation for a better world. He highlighted the organization’s commitment to achieving zero hunger in Liberia by 2028 through community farming and market connectivity for small farmers.

Additionally, GVC aims to promote a clean and green earth by 2035 through initiatives such as tree planting, land regeneration, safe waste management, and the protection of natural ecosystems. The organization also seeks to ensure access to clean drinking water by 2030 and promote livelihood rights through skill development, sustainable employment creation, and access to finance by 2030.

Mr. Lepolu outlined GVC’s mission to create a peaceful and safe world by 2035 by addressing crimes, promoting safety, providing peaceful education initiatives, and supporting those affected by wars and natural disasters. The organization also aims to provide education, knowledge, and information for all by 2030 through universal access to basic education and wider knowledge dissemination platforms.

To achieve its mission, GVC has set ambitious targets to unite millions of people worldwide, including farmers, artists, educators, healthcare professionals, counselors, musicians, and wellness experts. The organization aims to unite 50 million people by June 2024, 100 million by December 2024, and 500 million people by December 2025.

Representative Clarence G. Gahr, the Political Officer of Margibi District#5, commended GVC for its initiatives during the launch event and pledged to work with the organization to achieve its goals in the best interest of Liberia. Nelson Tamba Walker, on behalf of his boss, pledged an initial amount of 75,000 Liberian Dollars to GVC to support their efforts.

The launch of GVC in Liberia signifies a new chapter in the organization’s global outreach, as it aims to make a positive impact on communities around the world through its various programs and initiatives. With a focus on unity, sustainability, and empowerment, GVC is poised to bring about transformation and change for a better future.
