Monrovia, Liberia, April 29, 2026- The People’s Republic of China has unveiled a major trade policy to expand zero-tariff treatment to all African countries that maintain diplomatic relations with Beijing, effective May 1, 2026, Chinese authorities announced Tuesday.
Under the new arrangement, China will grant zero-tariff treatment, through preferential tariff rates, to 20 African countries with diplomatic ties that are not classified as least developed countries….
