This project includes the provision of an outdoor broadcasting vehicle, satellite transmission systems, and upgrades to existing infrastructure such as the transmitter house, antenna feeder, and iron tower. The total cost of the project exceeds $5 million and is expected to enhance LBS’s capacity, efficiency, and influence.
The Chinese ambassador emphasized the importance of prompt action from the Liberian side to fulfill obligations under the agreement and facilitate the construction process. LBS Director General Eugene L. Faghon expressed gratitude to the People’s Republic of China for their support and dedication to the project. He noted that the project would not only enhance LBS’s capabilities but also provide the Liberian people with valuable insights into their government’s functions.
Faghon pledged to advance LBS in terms of frequency, staff, and audience reach, emphasizing the positive impact that the project would have on the broadcasting system in Liberia. The collaboration between China and Liberia in this venture signifies a fruitful partnership that aims to strengthen ties between the two countries and promote mutual growth and development.
