The city of Praia will host, from May 7th to 10th, the second edition of the Leadership Summit Cabo Verde. This was announced today to the press by the event organizers, during the presentation of the project to partners.
Filipe Vaz, the general director of Tema Central, the organization behind the Leadership Summit, revealed that this year’s main theme is “Atlantic Leadership”.
“What we aim to do is to bring to the stage Cabo Verde’s positioning, taking advantage of its geostrategic location as a very important focal point between Europe, Africa, and America… to highlight and try to make Cabo Verdean leaders see that they can indeed play a very relevant role as leaders in the Atlantic, benefiting from their geostrategic position,” he states.
Felipe Vaz explains that the activities of the Leadership Summit take place throughout the year, although they may have little visibility to the public.
“Involving various leaders from Cabo Verde and reflecting on the issues that arise, such as how to solve problems, putting them in contact with leaders from other countries, particularly from Portugal and the PALOP countries,” he emphasizes.
Energy, digital and environmental sustainability, sustainable tourism, education, and leadership training are the focus areas of this year’s edition.
The goal of the Leadership Summit Cabo Verde is to stimulate and motivate the country’s leaders to promote sustainable growth.
