Land racketeering: Wakiso land dealer sentenced to eight years over fraudulent sales

The High Court in Entebbe has sentenced a 55-year-old land dealer to eight years in prison for orchestrating a sophisticated fraudulent land scheme in Wakiso District. 
The illicit transactions left multiple victims facing massive financial losses and the looming threat of eviction.

Justice Karoli Lwanga Ssemogerere sentenced Charles Kyagaba on Monday, following his conviction last Friday on two counts of obtaining money by false pretences. The highly contested transactions involved land located in Zziru village, Wakiso District.
