The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has strongly criticised former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over his remarks insinuating that President Bola Tinubu is plotting to entrench himself in power under a “life presidency.”
In a statement issued on Monday, the party’s Publicity Secretary, Mogaji Seye Oladejo, described the comment as mischievous, reckless, and an affront to Tinubu’s lifelong commitment to democratic principles.
Oladejo recalled the President’s notable role in Nigeria’s pro-democracy movement during the 1990s, particularly his active involvement in the National Democratic Coalition NADECO.
