A 22-year-old woman came forward on Thursday, February 22, claiming that she had a child with world record holder Kelvin Kiptum and revealed details of their secret relationship. Edna Awuor described Kiptum as a loving father who had provided for the baby’s needs before his tragic death in a car accident. She stated that their last conversation involved Kiptum promising to send her money to support her and the baby.
Awuor explained that she and Kiptum had an intimate relationship and lived together as a family, except for the period when she had to go to her parents’ home after giving birth. She further claimed that Kiptum’s relatives did not recognize her and the baby and excluded them from the burial process. Additionally, she alleged that the family chose not to include the child in the eulogy.
