Kenya: TVETA Closes a in College in Tigoni for Operating Without a License

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) has closed a college in Tigoni, accusing the institution of exposing students to ‘fake training and worthless certificates’.

In a statement, TVETA said the institution, which was operating an Initiative for Skills Empowerment project, was shut down in partnership with the Limuru Sub-County security team for breaching the TVET Act, CAP 210A.
