Thousands of students returning home for the April holiday have been left stranded across the country following a nationwide crackdown on public service vehicles, the Motorists Association of Kenya (MAK) has stated.

The crackdown by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), together with the Kenya Police Service, has created what the motorists term a dangerous transport vacuum at the peak of school holiday travel.
