Tanzania’s First Gentleman, Hafidh Ameir Hassan, husband of President Samia Suluhu Hassan, has died.
Hassan passed away on the morning of Monday, September 7, while receiving treatment after developing heart complications.
The announcement was made on Monday, September 7, 2026, by Tanzania’s Vice President Deogratius Ndejembi, who revealed that the first gentleman lost his life at around 8 am at a hospital in Zanzibar.
