Kenya: Ruto Pressured to Appoint Gender CS

The Kenya Women Parliamentary Association (KEWOPA) has demanded the filling of the vacant position of the Cabinet Secretary of Gender. 

In a statement released on their X handle, KEWOPA stated that the position needed filling now, particularly in light of the recent rise in femicide and violence against women and girls. They also decried the little progress made in addressing the issues.
