President William Ruto was honored with the prestigious ‘Medalha Amílcar Cabral’ in Guinea-Bissau on Friday, April 5. This medal, the highest honor of the West African State, is awarded to individuals who demonstrate exceptional bravery and leadership in their respective fields.
Upon receiving the medal, President Ruto expressed his gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to unite and transform Africa. He stated, “Humbled to be presented with the ‘Medalha Amílcar Cabral’, Guinea-Bissau’s Medal of Honor. We will keep combining efforts to unite and transform Africa.”
This recognition came on the heels of President Ruto being awarded the Companion of the Order of the Star of the Volta by Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo on April 3. During his state visit to Guinea-Bissau, President Ruto emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
