Kenya: Residents Block Mumias-Bungoma Highway After MP Wamboka’s Removal From PIC

Transport operations along the Mumias-Bungoma highway were disrupted after irate residents of Bumula closed the road in protest.

The residents took to Kabula market along the busy highway protesting against the removal of Bumula MP Wamboka Wanami from the Parliamentary Public Investments Committee (PIC).

Videos seen by Kenyans.co.ke show the protesters setting tyres on fire on the road, blocking motorists who rely on it, and temporarily disrupting traffic.
