Kenya: PS Bitok Directs Principals to Strengthen Communication to Curb School Closures

Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok has issued directives to school heads and education directors after a series of unresolved issues that have led to the indefinite closure of several schools in the country.

In an emergency meeting with all school heads on Thursday, May 14, Bitok directed that the officials should take proactive measures aimed at preventing unrest in schools that have disrupted term two learning activities greatly.
