Nairobi Regional Police Commander Issa Mohamud has announced a ban on large political rallies in the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD), hours ahead of the planned Linda Mwananchi rally on Sunday.
Speaking on Saturday, September 12, Mahamud said the police had received intelligence of a planned disruption to public order during the rally, warning that the rally would not take place at the CBD.
