Kenya: Online Cab Fares to Rise by 1.5 Times as Drivers Announce Ksh330 Minimum Charge

Online cab users could be set for tougher times after the Organization of Online Drivers (OOD) announced a 50 per cent fare increase, pushing the minimum charge up by Ksh330.

In an exclusive interview with Kenyans.co.ke, the organisation’s chairman said it had introduced a 1.5X fare multiplier, meaning the current minimum charge of Ksh220 would rise to about Ksh330 under the new pricing structure.
