The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) will process claims in 24 hours starting next year, Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has announced.
According to Mutua, at the moment, claims are processed within seven days. However, a spot check by Kenyans.co.ke has found the average processing time is between 10 and 18 days.
NSSF’s service charter says claims should not take more than 10 working days, although in practice this has ranged up to 28 days for certain benefits.
