Kenya: National Assembly Approves Appointment of Geoffrey Ruku and Hanna Cheptumo as CSs

The National Assembly has approved the appointment of Geoffrey Ruku and Hanna Cheptumo as Cabinet Secretaries for Public Service and Gender, respectively.

Their approval followed scrutiny by the Parliamentary Committee on Appointments, led by Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula, on Monday, April 14.

Ruku and Cheptumo were nominated by President William Ruto on March 26 to replace former Cabinet members Justin Muturi and Aisha Jumwa, respectively.
