Kenya: Nairobi Water Threatens Fines, Disconnections in Utawala and Mihango as Grace Period Lapses

The Nairobi Water Company is set to begin a crackdown on unlawful water meters in the capital, targeting residents of Utawala and Mihango estates.

According to a notice shared by the company, the crackdown will commence on Thursday, May 28, after the lapse of the 21-day grace period it had granted the residents.

In its reminder to the affected residents, the company called on them to regularise water and sewer connections to avoid being penalised.
