Kenya: Nairobi Water Company to Roll Out Smart Meters; How It Works

The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) is set to roll out thousands of smart water meters across the city in an effort to improve monitoring and reduce non-revenue water.

This plan was announced on February 27 in the Kenya Gazette and was approved by the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) for the 2025/2026 to 2028/2029 tariff period.
