Kenya: Nairobi Sets 2027 Land Rates as New Valuation Rules Take Effect

Nairobi County has announced new land rates for 2027, including a fresh raft of rules that will affect thousands of property owners from January 1, 2027.

Announced in the Gazette Notice dated September 4, the Built Environment and Urban Planning Lands Sub-sector confirmed the new charges, which will apply across flat-rate zones as well as to residential, commercial, and agricultural plots throughout the city.
