Kenya: Murkomen Declares Parts of Marsabit Security Disturbed for 30 Days Over Rising Insecurity

Cabinet Secretary for Interior Kipchumba Murkomen has formally declared parts of Marsabit County as security-disturbed and dangerous, over escalating banditry and inter-communal violence tearing through the region.

The declaration was made in consultation with the National Security Council (NSC) and National Police Service (NPS) and formally published in the Kenya Gazette on April 24.
