Kenya: Muhoozi Declares 2031 Uganda Presidential Bid, Ally Says Has Museveni’s Backing

Uganda’s Chief of Defense Forces General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has announced his intentions to vie for the presidency in 2031, potentially succeeding his father, President Yoweri Museveni.

The announcement was made by David Kabanda, General Muhoozi’s aide, who is also the Head of the Chairman’s Office of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU).
