Kenya: Motorists Stuck for Over 5 Hours as Heavy Traffic Paralyses Nairobi–Nakuru Highway

Motorists were forced to spend the night in heavy traffic along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway, as the heavy rains pounded various parts of the country on Friday, February 27.

Taking to social media to lament, motorists reported congestion stretching from Gilgil Weighbridge all the way to Kikopey starting last night.

As of 7am on Saturday morning, further reports emerged indicating the weighbridge, which has long been a bane for motorists along the busy highway, was at a standstill.
