Kenya: Matiang’i Asks Ruto to Create Commission of Inquiry to Probe River Yala Killings

Jubilee Party Deputy Leader Fred Matiang’i has called on President William Ruto to establish a commission of inquiry into the discovery of bodies in River Yala, insisting that he is ready to give his account of events.

Matiang’i, who was serving as Interior Cabinet Secretary when 36 bodies were discovered in River Yala between 2021 and 2022, said he has nothing to hide and was willing to be investigated.
