Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) CEO Marjan Hussein Marjan has resigned from his position in the commission. 

Marjan, who has served at the IEBC since 2015, said his decision to step down followed extensive consultations with senior officials of the commission.

In his statement, Marjan did not provide detailed reasons for his resignation but hinted that the decision was made jointly with the commission’s top leadership.
