The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Commissioner for Micro and Small Taxpayers, George Omondi Obell, has stepped forward to explain the sweeping changes taxpayers should expect when filing their 2025 income tax returns.
Speaking in an X-Space on Thursday, February 20, Obell confirmed that KRA now holds vast amounts of financial, asset, and consumption data that will be cross-referenced against what taxpayers declare, making it harder to hide income or inflate deductions.
