The Kenya Railways Corporation has revealed plans to resume freight transportation along the Uplands- Kijabe- Longonot corridor.

Operations in the route came to a halt in April 2024 after it was damaged by the heavy downpour the country was experiencing.

In a statement on Monday, January 19, the corporation confirmed that rehabilitation works on the route have been completed and that it is safe and ready for operations.
