Kenya: KDF Steps Up Emergency Preparedness Ahead of October–December Rains

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) are joining hands to prepare for floods, landslides and other disasters expected during the October to December 2026 rains.

The two institutions recently ran a joint Emergency Medical Team (EMT) preparedness exercise, designed to sharpen the country’s ability to respond quickly when disaster strikes.
