Kenya: Kamulu Traders Count Losses After Repeated Demolitions, Property Theft

Kamulu traders along Kangundo Road are counting losses after unknown individuals reportedly sent by a private investor were sent to demolish their business premises.

The demolitions, carried out on Wednesday night, also resulted in the theft of property worth millions of shillings from them.

According to the traders, the premises that they were operating from were allocated by the government, and only the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has the legal authority to vacate them.
