The Japanese government has awarded Benson Ogutu, the former Kenyan Ambassador to Japan, the ‘Order of the Rising Sun, and Gold and Silver Stars’, one of the highest honors in Japan.

In an official statement by the Japanese Embassy to Kenya on Wednesday, the Japanese government revealed that Ogutu was awarded on Tuesday, April 29.
