Chaos gripped the capital on Monday morning after sections of matatu operators disregarded calls to suspend a planned strike. 

The operators have blocked Outering Road at the Kariobangi Roundabout, bringing traffic to a complete standstill.

The blockade is reportedly mounted by Forward Travellers matatu operators, who parked vehicles across the busy roundabout, rendering Outering Road impassable.
