Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga recently celebrated the completion of an ambitious multi-million shilling project to improve the quality of education in the county through the construction of modern early childhood education (EYE) classrooms.

Dubbed the Ondoa Kaunda Initiative, the project utilised a labour-intensive model in a bid to kill two birds with one stone by erecting modern educational infrastructure while employing Homa Bay residents at the same time.
