Kenya: Gachagua Pledges Diaspora Nominations to Parliament, County Assemblies if Elected President

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has unveiled a plan to formally integrate Kenyans living in the diaspora into Kenya’s governance if elected president in 2027.

Speaking during an engagement with Kenyans living in the UK on Sunday, May 17, Gachagua said diaspora professionals will be nominated to the National Assembly, the Senate, the County Assemblies, and even the executive.
