A wildfire has erupted on part of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport grassland.
According to the Kenya Red Cross, the fire has consumed the area towards 75 Airport North Road. The fire has been burning for nearly 30 minutes now.
Videos and images seen by Kenyans.co.ke show the wildfire spreading on the grass area that nears the airport’s runway. One video shot from inside a landing plane shows the fire is near the runway.Â
