The family of a 14-year-old girl who was mauled by a lion in Kajiado County has come out to explain the circumstances behind the painful incident that has left the village of Emakoko gripped in fear and shock.  

According to Kennedy Kigen, the father of Peace Mwendwa—the girl mauled by the wild animal—his three children were inside a house within the homestead when the beast appeared.
