If you have ever spotted a large truck on the highway bearing a number plate that starts with “Z,” there is a reason for it.
That letter is not random. It is a deliberate system put in place by the Traffic Act, which spells it out clearly, that every trailer plate must begin with the letter Z, running through series like ZA, ZB, ZC, and beyond, with black text printed on a yellow reflective background to separately register trailers from the trucks pulling them.
