Former senior News Anchor and Africa News Editor for NTV, Daniel Mule, has recently resigned from his position as Chief Officer of Public Communications and e-government in Machakos County. Sources familiar with the situation confirmed to Kenyans.co.ke that he submitted his resignation early in the week. Mule had been leading the Communications department for a year, having been vetted and approved by the Machakos County Assembly.
During his tenure, Mule oversaw all communication channels related to Wavinya Ndeti’s county government. With his departure, the position will soon be declared vacant, and a new candidate will be nominated to take over from the accomplished journalist. Despite efforts by Kenyans.co.ke to reach out to Mule for comment, he could not be reached. However, insiders suggest that he may be pursuing personal interests and career advancement opportunities.
Prior to his role in Ndeti’s administration, Mule had worked as a communication and advocacy specialist at the Africa Medical Research Foundation (AMREF). He joined Nation Media Group in October 2011 and decided to leave after gaining a decade of experience. In his final address on air, Mule expressed gratitude for the realization of his dreams and attributed his success to divine guidance.
Mule’s journey to success was not without challenges, as he started his career carrying sacks of maize at the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB). However, his fortunes changed when he secured a position at Taifa Leo and Nation newspaper, eventually rising to the role of news anchor and Africa News Editor for NTV.
Reflecting on his career trajectory, Mule emphasized the importance of determination and perseverance in achieving one’s goals. He acknowledged that his success was a result of his unwavering commitment to his aspirations. Through hard work and dedication, he was able to climb the corporate ladder and make a name for himself in the media industry.
The decision to leave his role in Machakos County is likely driven by Mule’s desire for personal growth and new opportunities. With a wealth of experience in the field of communication and media, he is well-positioned to excel in his future endeavors. As he embarks on the next chapter of his professional journey, Mule’s impressive track record and commitment to excellence will undoubtedly continue to set him apart in the industry.
