Kenya: Education PS Bitok Raises School Capitation to Ksh 2,340 Per Learner After Public Outcry

The government has announced an increase in government funding for learners in public schools, days after the Ksh95 capitation uproar.

Speaking on Tuesday, May 5, Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok stated that the Ministry of Education will increase learners’ funding from Ksh1,420 per learner to Ksh 2,340.
